The Warm Days of summer

We had a great “Hymn Sing” service on Sunday, July 25th, filled with the music you like to sing.  Everyone had a wonderful time, and there was some feedback that people would enjoy doing it again sometime.

On August 29th we are going to make Ice Cream at the church.  It will be a time of fine fellowship and fun.  The place will be the Fellowship Hall.  The time is yet to be determined.  Watch the bulletin for further information.

We want to thank all of you for your support financially and physically for the work of the church in the community.  In addition, we want to thank you for your support of our Heifer Project.  You helped the Vacation Bible School to raise just short of six hundred dollars for this project.  Plus, you supported the Hygiene Kit Program for Nashville, Tennessee.  These kits are greatly appreciated by many who are still struggling to get on their feet.

The Session will hold its annual Planning Retreat on August 5th at 6 p.m.  If you have an idea or thought that you would like to have in our annual program, talk to one of the elders before this meeting.  Who knows it just might happen!

See you in church                         …………..Pastor Dave

CHURCH HUMOR QUIPS FROM ALL OVER

Somebody has said there are only two kinds of people in the world.  There are those who wake up in the morning and say, “Good morning, Lord,” and there are those who wake up and say, “Good Lord, it’s morning.”

A Sunday School teacher began her lesson with a question, “Boys and girls, what do we know about God?”  A hand shot up in the air and a young boy said, “He is an artist.”  “Really, how do you know?” asked the teacher.  The boy answered, “You know – Our Father who does art in Heaven…”

People want the front of the bus, the back of the church, and the center of attention!

There was a very gracious lady who was mailing an old family Bible to her brother.  “Is there anything breakable in here?” asked the postal clerk.  “Only the Ten Commandments.” Answered the lady.
